Storage and infrastructure
Can Iconik connect to existing cloud storage?
Yes, Iconik supports a "Bring Your Own Storage" (BYOS) model. You do not need to migrate all of your files to use Iconik. You can mount your existing cloud storage (AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, Wasabi, etc.) directly in the admin section. Once connected, Iconik will:
- Index your existing content
- Create lightweight proxy files for fast access
- Make assets available to authorized users
- Keep your storage costs with your current provider
Note: For performance optimization, proxies and keyframes are stored on Iconik's storage infrastructure, but you can use your own proxy storage if you wish, for a cost.
