Cubix, built by Ortana Media Group on its Media Aware Workflow Engine (MAWE), bridges Iconik with legacy platforms, enterprise storage, HSM archives, and the operational systems your team already relies on — so those connections don't turn into manual work or one-off scripts.

What you can do with Cubix

Cubix connects Iconik to a much broader technology ecosystem — more than 170 integrations across storage, archive, processing, AI, and cloud platforms — through Iconik's API and Custom Actions. Trigger a Cubix Taskflow, powered by Ortana's Media Aware Workflow Engine (MAWE), directly from a Custom Action inside Iconik, and Cubix orchestrates the process from there: archive and restore, content movement, transcoding, AI enrichment, distribution, metadata processing, and more.

The examples below are a starting point, not the limit. Cubix's ecosystem reaches well beyond migration, archive, and storage orchestration — wherever Iconik needs to connect to a system it doesn't support natively, from a specialized AI service to a partner-specific delivery target, Cubix is built to bridge it without a custom integration built and maintained from scratch.

Move off a legacy MAM without a hard cutover Migrate from an existing MAM into Iconik on your own timeline. Cubix runs one-time migrations or keeps both systems in sync while your team works out of both during the transition — no forced cutover, no downtime.

Bring your existing archive into Iconik — don't replace it HSM, LTO, and cold storage stay exactly where they are. Tie Iconik into how projects actually get scheduled When a project kicks off in your scheduling or resource-management system, Cubix can create the matching Iconik users, permissions, and Collections automatically. How it works

Cubix runs on Ortana's Media Aware Workflow Engine (MAWE), which understands media-specific formats and metadata as it moves assets between systems. It connects to Iconik through the REST API, so each of the workflows above runs as an orchestrated pipeline rather than a manual handoff between tools.
