What is SOC 2 Type II (and why it matters)

SOC 2 Type II is the gold standard for security and operational maturity in the cloud. Developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), it assesses how companies manage customer data based on five trust principles: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.

Unlike Type I (a point-in-time snapshot), which we achieved in 2024, Type II audits examine how these controls perform over time. That means months of evidence, policies, and practices—not just intentions.
