June 2026 – Iconik Player

The Player just became much more capable. The v1.0.3 release adds visual watermarking, subtitles, multi-part transfers, and version-level commenting — closing the gap between what you can do in the browser and what you can do in the desktop app.

In this release:

  • Watermarking settings from Iconik now apply in the Player
  • Subtitles and CC tracks available in the Player
  • Comment and annotate on any version, not just the latest

Your visual watermarking settings, applied in the Player

When watermarking is enabled in Iconik, the Player now enforces the same settings — so the watermark you've configured appears on content viewed in the desktop app, exactly as it does in the browser. If you're using watermarking to protect client deliverables or manage distribution rights, that protection now holds wherever the Player is used.

Multi-part upload and download — Large file transfers that don't stall or restart

Multi-part upload and download is a win for anyone moving high-resolution media, effectively solving the twin headaches of slow transfer speeds and potentially unstable connections. Multi-part upload and download breaks large media files into smaller segments and transfers them simultaneously, giving you faster throughput on high-resolution content. The real change is what happens when the connection drops: instead of starting over, the transfer picks up from the specific chunk that failed. For editors, clients, or ingest teams moving large files remotely, that means fewer failed transfers to troubleshoot and less time waiting to retry.

Subtitles and CC tracks, right in the Player

The Player now supports subtitle tracks the same way the browser does. When a file has subtitles attached, a CC menu appears below the timeline — select it to enable the track and choose your language. For multilingual content, client review, or accessibility requirements, the subtitle workflow you've built in Iconik carries through to the Player without any extra setup.

Comments and annotations on every version, not just the latest

You can now add comments and annotations to any version of an asset in the Player, not just the current one. For review workflows where earlier cuts are still in discussion, or where you need to document decisions made on a previous version, this removes the need to switch to the browser to do that work.

June 2026 – Iconik web

The latest Iconik release brings enterprise content protection, scalable gateway infrastructure, and direct publishing from inside Iconik.

In this release:

  • DRM and Forensic Watermarking — two-layer protection for pre-release cuts, licensed content, and anything where the wrong person sharing a frame creates a real problem (Pro/Enterprise)
  • ISG Pro — clustered, high-availability gateway for operations that can't afford ingest downtime (Pro/Enterprise)
  • Publish Panel — send approved assets to social, CMS, and OTT destinations without leaving Iconik
  • Reorder assets in Playlist player view — put review sequences in the order you need

Here's what's new:

Publish Panel — from approved to live without leaving Iconik

The Publish Panel connects your asset library directly to content distribution. From inside Iconik, select your destination, thumbnail, and metadata from a single panel — Wildmoka handles publishing in the background. You can push assets to social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and more), CMS, OTT destinations, and more in one click. Publish templates let you predefine destinations and pull metadata from existing Iconik views, so repeat publishing workflows happen faster. Branding overlays — logos, pre-rolls, post-rolls, dynamic bugs — apply at publish time, so the version in Iconik stays pristine. The Relations tab keeps a full history of every publish event on the asset. The manual handoff that usually follows approval — downloading, re-uploading, retyping metadata elsewhere — goes away.

Paid add-on. Pro and Enterprise accounts only.
Publishing is powered by Wildmoka. A Wildmoka tenant is included.

DRM and Forensic Watermarking — two layers of protection for content you share

When you share sensitive content for review, DRM and Forensic Watermarking provide two distinct layers of control: one that prevents unauthorized access and one that establishes accountability if something goes wrong anyway.

With DRM enabled, content shared from Iconik plays only inside the secure Iconik player — recipients can watch, but they can't download the file, and screen capture is blocked. Access can be revoked remotely at any time.

Forensic Watermarking goes a step further: an invisible, frame-level identifier unique to each recipient is embedded into every shared proxy. It survives compression, re-encoding, format conversion, and off-screen capture, so if content leaks, you know exactly where it came from.

For studios, broadcasters, and rights-holders sharing pre-release or premium material, having both layers available means you can extend access without extending risk.

Please note: iOS and Iconik Player support is not yet available — coming in a future release.

ISG Pro — scale your ingest without replacing your infrastructure

ISG Pro is the clustered deployment of the Iconik Storage Gateway, built for operations where continuous ingest is non-negotiable. It does everything ISG already does well — scanning, checksumming, proxy generation, sync — distributed across multiple nodes running in parallel against the same storage. If a node goes offline, the cluster keeps processing. Maintenance windows run without stopping ingest. When throughput needs to grow, you add a node rather than replacing hardware. For live operations, broadcasters, and anyone running overnight ingest on a deadline, that continuity is built in.

Reorder assets in Playlist player view

You can now drag assets into any order in the Playlist player view. When the available sorting options don't match the sequence you need for a specific review, this gives you direct control, without reorganizing the underlying collection. Useful for director's cuts, episode edits, pitch reels, or any session where the order of viewing matters.

Adobe Panel

May 2026 – Adobe Panel

This release brings the Adobe Panel in line with the new Iconik look and feel, and makes large imports into Premiere Pro noticeably faster.

This release brings the Adobe Panel in line with the new Iconik look and feel, and makes large imports into Premiere Pro noticeably faster.

In this release:

  • A refreshed panel design with new colors, fonts, and top bar navigation
  • Faster large batch imports into Premiere Pro, with a live progress indicator

Here's what's new:

A refreshed panel design

The Adobe Panel now uses the updated Iconik colors and fonts, along with a new top bar navigation. You'll see the change the moment you open the panel: the same tools and workflows you already use, in an interface that feels consistent with the rest of Iconik. We wanted the panel to feel like part of Iconik rather than a separate utility bolted onto your Adobe app, and this is the first step toward that.

Faster large batch imports into Premiere Pro

Importing a large batch of local or ISG assets into Premiere Pro is now significantly faster. Assets begin importing as soon as the job starts rather than waiting for the full batch to be prepared, and the overall import completes much faster end-to-end. A new indicator in the top bar shows when an import is in progress, so you can keep working in Premiere and check status at a glance. Large imports were one of the most common friction points we heard from editors working on big projects, and this rework addresses both the perceived wait and the actual time it takes.

Availability: Available to all Iconik customers using the Adobe Panel. Please note, this release updates the minimum supported versions for Adobe host applications — please make sure you're on Premiere Pro 2025 (v25.0), After Effects 2025 (v25.0), Illustrator 2025 (v29.5), Photoshop 2024 (v25.12), or Audition 2025 (v25.0) or later before updating.
