Join synced review sessions from your iPhone or iPad

You can now join a synced review session from the Iconik iOS app and take part the same way you would on Iconik web: comment, annotate, and follow the session as it plays. The experience is built natively for iOS rather than squeezed in from the browser. Zoom and pan, flip and rotate, the laser tool, playback speed and backward play, and jumping to a specific version are all supported. 

You can also review in sync with people on the Iconik Player, who can view originals at full frame rate and in the full color space, so a reviewer checking the master on a calibrated desktop and a stakeholder on an iPhone are on the same frame at the same moment. 

We built this because review decisions don't wait for anyone to get back to a desk, and joining a session from your phone shouldn't mean sitting out half of it.

Rotate, flip, and flop assets

New transformation controls on assets let you rotate, flip, and flop the asset right in the app, so you can view it the way you need to without leaving your review. We added them because the way a video is oriented on screen shouldn't get in the way of judging it.

Publish Panel: Schedule posts to share them later

Schedule your posts instead of pushing them live in the moment. Pick a date and time, and Iconik publishes to every selected destination when the time comes. Scheduled posts appear in a Scheduled Posts tab on the Posts page, where you can cancel before it goes live and be notified when the post is published (or if it fails). One person prepares, another signs off, and nothing goes live until it should.

Publish Panel: Save drafts before posting them live

Publishing no longer has to be a commit-on-the-spot decision. Save your publication as a draft and it becomes a Clip, so you can open it in Wildmoka to refine it and route it through Iconik's review and approval workflow before it goes anywhere. Once it's approved, publish it to its pre-configured destination in one click. 

Publish Panel: Publish as-is: deliver the file you already prepared

This covers teams that have already rendered an asset to a destination's exact spec and need it delivered untouched, rather than having Wildmoka render it for you. A new Video Source option in the Publish Panel now lets you choose a specific format — Original, Edit Proxy, or Proxy — and deliver it to the destination without transcoding or processing. Choosing as-is deliberately turns off everything that would change the video: the output rendition is locked to the source, and aspect ratio, template overlays, decorators and burned-in subtitles are all disabled (sidecar subtitles still work). 

Publish activity in the asset History panel

Your asset History now has a complete record of an asset's publishing activity, so when someone asks "was this published, and by whom?", the answer is on the asset itself. Every time an asset is saved as a draft, scheduled, or published from the Publish Panel, the action now appears in that asset's History panel alongside its other history entries. Each entry shows who did it and when, and links to the job so you can open it for full details. Anyone who can already see an asset's History can see these entries.

Attachments on comments

Reviewers can now attach images to comments on a share in Iconik — a reference, a sketch, a piece of artwork — either while writing the comment or by editing it afterwards. The note about what needs to change and the file that shows what it should look like now live in the same place, so feedback doesn't get split across email threads.

Fix your comments on a share, no login needed

A user or collaborator who leaves comments on a share without signing in (an unauthenticated user) can now edit or delete the ones they added. A typo, a wrong timecode or a comment posted by mistake no longer sticks around for the whole team to see. 

Brand Portals: save your logo once and add it to your theme

Brand Portals now keep your branding with you. You can save your logo as a theme, so the next portal that uses it starts with your logo already in place. We also improved logo placement on cover pages, and there's a new font to choose from, Plus Jakarta Sans, so a portal can look more like the rest of your brand. 

Brand Portals: a branded home for finished work

You can now turn a curated collection of assets into a Brand Portal — a polished, on-brand presentation space that shows the people waiting on your work exactly what's ready, without walking them through Iconik itself. Pick your assets, then customize the portal with your own logo, a cover image, a light or dark theme, and your own fonts, so the finished product looks like it came straight from you rather than from a generic file share. Because the portal stays live-linked to Iconik, if an asset gets updated with a new version, the portal reflects that automatically; the link you sent never goes stale and never has to change. Recipients open it with nothing more than the link — no Iconik account required — and depending on the access you set, can view, browse, and download in the formats you've made available. We built this because a plain review link works, but it never quite felt like it came from you; Brand Portals is the last step in getting finished work out the door looking the way you intended.

Availability: Brand Portals is available for Pro and Enterprise accounts: Enterprise accounts get unlimited portals, Pro accounts get a capped allotment with additional portals available as an add-on. 

Toggle visibility of comments

You could already mark an individual comment as internal-only when you posted it. Now, authorized users can flip that visibility after the fact: one click on a comment card switches it, and its full reply thread, between Internal and Public. Anyone with a "can edit other users' comments" role can change comments between Internal and Public. That means an internal note that lands on a client-facing thread by mistake can be pulled back instantly, and relevant internal discussion can be elevated to a client without copying it into a new comment.
